Why Living in Philly is the Best

Location can be a deciding factor for many individuals when buying a home. Most families overlook cities while they are searching for their future forever home. However, Philadelphia is a city that has a lot to offer families looking to move. Over the last couple of years Philadelphia’s economy has been steadily improving, specifically in the education and healthcare sectors. There has also been revitalization in many different neighborhoods that makes Philly a great place to live. However, these aren’t the only reasons why living in Philly is the best. There are a multitude of attractions that make Philly amazing!

The History
When it comes to history, Philadelphia has a lot to brag about. Several firsts have taken place in Philly and its citizens take great pride in the history of the city. The city shines a light on the historical importance that it played throughout American history. You can step back in time by visiting a multitude of historical buildings or landmarks found within the city. The Betsy Ross house, the Liberty Bell, and the Botanical Gardens are only a few of the attractions Philly has to offer.

Known for being one of the biggest museums in the country, it houses a wide range of paintings and artifacts that draw in thousands. The Art Museum plays a huge part in Philly culture as well as the smaller, but super unique Barnes Foundation. However, the city goes above and beyond when it comes to celebrating the arts. Many artists flock to the city and create a unique atmosphere that can’t be rivaled. In fact there are six top art schools in the area, making Philly perfect for any artsy type or those who appreciate the arts.

Families Embracing the City
Recently a lot of families have been embracing the city due to the numerous family-friendly activities it offers. The city offers great park systems, the perfect outdoor space for kids to run around and play. There is also a long list of museums including the Please Touch Museum and the Franklin Institute to explore with the whole family, making it the ideal for young families to explore and have fun.

What To Do With Thanksgiving Leftovers

Sometimes using up leftovers can be a challenge, especially when a ton of food is involved. Not only do you have a ton of turkey, but you also have to consider what to do with all the sides and desserts as well. However, dealing with leftovers doesn’t have to be a struggle. Here are three simple tips and tricks to help pack and use up leftovers easily and safely.

Pack Leftovers Accordingly
Believe it or not, you should start packing up your leftovers right after Thanksgiving dinner. You might want to spend time with your guests, but you don’t want the food you worked so hard to make to go bad. You’ll want to cut the turkey off the bone two hours after it is taken out of the oven. Pack it in containers and put it in the refrigerator or freezer as soon as possible. When you put turkey leftovers in the refrigerator, you only have four days until it goes bad. So if you don’t plan on using them in the next four days, put them in the freezer. Make sure to use frozen leftovers within four months. It tends to lose flavor or dry out. However, if you’re looking for convenience when it comes to packing up leftovers you can try packing it in meal-sized portions. This is practical and will make using leftovers easier for you in the coming days.

Dish Them Out
Keep the Thanksgiving spirit going by sharing leftovers with your guests. That’s right! You don’t have to keep everything. If you have a ton of leftovers from dinner, you can easily dish them out to your guests. Send them home with an extra meal. It’ll be sure to put a smile on their face and its a great way to give thanks to the people you care most about.

Try Different Recipes With Leftovers
One of the easiest ways to use up leftovers is to try out different recipes. Take all your leftovers and find deliciously amazing recipes to try out. Have leftover turkey? Make a big potpie for the family. There is a recipe for every Thanksgiving leftover. So get cooking and use up those Thanksgiving leftovers in the most delicious way ever! Looking for recipes?
