The Lady Lair is the New Man Cave

The Man Cave – you’ve heard the term before and you understand the concept. It has been heralded as an essential necessity for any hard-working man, but what about hard-working women? Just like men, women deserve a place to unwind and escape. That’s where the Lady Lair comes in.

Like the man of the house, the woman of the house deserves a place to call their own; where relaxation is the only thing on her to-do list. It doesn’t have to be a huge room either. It could easily be a small nook where she can put her feet up and read a book, or if she prefers a bigger space for her hobbies consider a She Shed or Babe Cave. Yes ladies, you can have it all. Your own personal refuge is achievable. So start planning and use these four tips to create your ultimate Lady Lair.

What is the Purpose of the Space?
Before starting the process of building and decorating your Lady Lair it is essential to think about the purpose of the space. Do you just want a small place to escape and read a book or do you need a bigger space for crafting or gathering with your lady friends? The size and purpose of you Lady Lair depends on its eventual use. So before starting the Lady Lair process, put some thought into what you want to get out of your personal sanctuary.

Decide Where to Put Your Lady Lair
After determining the purpose of the space you have to decide where to put your Lady Lair. If you only need a small space, find a nice little nook where you can escape. Or if you decided to go big or go home and create the ultimate Babe Cave, pick a larger space and go all out. Whatever you decide, make sure to pick the right location for your Lady Lair.

Determine How to Decorate Your Lady Lair
Decorating your Lady Lair is the fun part. Like Man Caves, your Lady Lair could take on a theme of your liking. Common themes that Lady Lairs’ adopt are craft rooms, doll houses, earthy/zen sanctuaries, personal libraries, and painting studios. However, you don’t have to go for a themed Lady Lair. You can easily design a classy space in your own personal style. When it comes to your space you design and decorate it to your liking.

Reap the Rewards of Your Very Own Lady Lair
Once your Lady Lair is complete, sit back and enjoy your very own personal sanctuary. Whether you created the space to getaway and relax or to convene with your favorite ladies there’s only one thing left to do: keep calm and stay classy.

Make Everyday Spa Day

The ultimate guide to making your bathroom your own pampered paradise

Imagine this: warm water cascading down, filling the room with a relaxing ambiance that melts all of your worries away. That can be everyday when you bring the spa experience to your bathroom in the comfort of your home at The Reserve at Creekside.

A lavish bathroom always starts with a Kohler soaking tub that you can immerse yourself in. However, to bring the spa experience to your bathroom; make sure to have bath salts and essential oils on display. These two products are fundamental in spas because they engage your senses with aromatherapy. Not only can you use these products to sooth yourself and enhance a relaxing bath, but showcasing them on your marble vanity sink tops will also produce a spa effect.

On the contrary, if you prefer a shower “the spa effect” can also be achieved by using candles. While your prepping your shower light a candle or two to captivate your senses. Not only do they emanate the relaxing scent of your choice, but they also establish the surrounding atmosphere, which makes it easier for you to find your happy place. Set them on your vanity top to offset elegant faucets/fixtures and create a dynamic arrangement of candles to simulate the spa atmosphere.

The final touch to achieve the spa experience in your own bathroom is to stock your vanity drawers with the ultimate spa accessory: fluffy white robes. Nothing tops off the relaxing spa experience than wrapping yourself in a soft robe after a warm and inviting bath or shower. It extends the comfort of the bath and enshrouds you in peace and serenity.

Why can’t “spa day” be everyday? Pamper yourself and make your dream paradise real with only a few minor additions to your already luxurious bathroom. And if you’re looking to find a home that offers outstanding features visit Judd Builders today and get started!

Outdoor Space Inspiration

outdoor string lights hanging on a line in backyard

With the gorgeous summer weather, it’s natural to want to spend more time outside. Get inspired for your outdoor spaces so you can maximize the room you have as well as your entertainment potential. From front porch ideas to deck decorations to landscape plans, here are some ideas to kick off your summer fun at The Reserve at Creekside.

Voted the Community of the Year, The Reserve at Creekside offers brand new carriage homes in Flourtown with 8 different home designs, superior construction, state-of-the-art appliances, and luxury finishes – including a back deck and a charming front entryway. Here are a few ideas to help you put a personal touch on your outdoor spaces.

Front Porch

Your front porch is your chance to make an unforgettable first impression on your guests. Showcase your style whether it’s modern, rustic, or traditional – here are a few elements you can incorporate into your front porch décor to impress your friends and families.

For a rustic style, mix elements of the indoors and the outdoors with your front porch style. Select wood-inspired chairs, mixed with cozy quilts and pillows and matched with a modern lamp, such as a Tiffany lamp – pictured herehere. For more of a classic style, hanging baskets filled with ferns along with hanging or freestanding lanterns can frame your entry way, while adding some lush color to your front porch. Add a rocking chair and a brightly colored seat cushion for a welcoming addition to your home.

Back Deck

Enjoy some fresh air on your back deck with a glass of wine or entertain some of your friends for a summer cookout! Get creative and add a small bar to the deck, where you can whip up margaritas in the summer.  Or if you’re more into relaxing and reading then add a calming water feature off to the side and plenty of greenery to make your deck your Zen place, as suggested by Better Homes and Gardens.

Adorn the outside of your home with gorgeous greens that are low-maintenance and sustainable, consult a local landscaper for recommendations on native plants. Native plants thrive in climate conditions, so you can work less to enjoy the outdoors more. If you’re looking to add a pop of color, add a few potted plants to your front walkway – you can start with whites and pinks in the summer and switch to yellows and reds in the fall.

Whatever outdoor style fits your personality, you can make it yours with one of our 8 home plans at Reserve at Creekside. Kick off summer the right way, with a beautiful new home in Flourtown, PA.
